All about our jerseys

A jersey is one of the most iconic pieces in the cycling world, especially on the road. We all recognize the famous color of the Tour de France winners jersey, don’t we? Aesthetics matter, as every cyclist wants to look good on the bike. That’s why our designs are timeless, allowing you to enjoy your jerseys for multiple seasons.

However, our jerseys are about much more than just good looks. The quality and comfort of a cycling jersey are determined by various factors like fabric types, panel shapes, and other technical features. In this buyer’s guide, we’ll walk you through all of these aspects, discussing the pros and cons of each. By the end, you’ll have the knowledge to confidently choose the perfect jersey for yourself.

All our jerseys

Short sleeve jerseys

Let’s start with our short-sleeved jerseys, which are perfect for warm summer days. However, they’re not just limited to summer use; many cyclists consider short sleeve jerseys an essential starting point for outfits in all weather conditions. On hot days, a short sleeve jersey paired with a baselayer may be all you need. In cooler weather, you can combine it with a baselayer and arm sleeves for full coverage, or layer it with a jacket or vest when it gets even colder.

Thanks to their versatility, short sleeve jerseys can be worn in countless combinations, making them a valuable addition to any cycling wardrobe. That’s why we put significant effort into designing high-quality, value-for-money jerseys that are truly worth it. Below, we’ll dive into the key aspects that greatly influence the quality of a jersey.

Jersey fit

Our jerseys are designed to accommodate a wide range of cyclists, with the choice largely determined by the fit that best suits your needs. We offer jerseys in three fits: comfortable, regular, and sport. The comfortable fit prioritizes ease and versatility, featuring a slightly wider cut to ensure optimal comfort for everyone.

On the other end of the spectrum, our sport fit focuses on aerodynamics and performance, with a streamlined design fully optimized to support you at your highest level.

Preformed panels

The panel shape of a jersey plays a significant role in its fit and overall quality. Each jersey is constructed from multiple fabric panels, with their shapes determining the garment's size and fit. By strategically using stretchable, breathable, thicker, thinner, or more durable fabrics on specific panels, we can enhance the jersey’s performance. This approach allows each panel to fulfill its specific function.

Our jerseys are meticulously designed with panel shapes tailored to the position you adopt while riding, ensuring they fit best when you’re on the bike, where it truly matters. For more details about the various fabrics used, check out our materials page.

Materials

Materials, just like panel shape, play a crucial role in the quality of a jersey. In the past, cyclists rode in woolen jerseys, but fortunately, we've come a long way since then! The advanced techniques we use today to create fabrics are remarkable and far beyond the basics of the past. Modern jerseys prioritize breathability, stretchability, and lightweight features. Today, our jerseys are no longer made from a single type of fabric; instead, we combine different panels with specific materials to optimize performance in key areas.

For example, we use less stretchable fabric for the back pockets to prevent sagging when filled, making your ride more comfortable. Across our entire apparel range, we incorporate nearly 20 different fabrics to achieve the exact specifications we aim for. Finishing

Details make the product! Focusing on the finer points during the design process can truly make a product stand out. One of the key details we prioritize is the finishing on the sleeves and hems of our jerseys. The elastic gripper on the bottom hem ensures that your jersey stays securely in place and doesn't ride up during your ride. Additionally, our sleeves are designed to create a smooth transition between the fabric and your skin, enhancing comfort and fit.

Take, for example, the finishing on our Essence and DonnaEssence jersey: the soft edge at the end of the sleeves ensures a seamless transition to the skin without forming a tight band. It's these small but thoughtful details that truly make a difference!

Zipper closure

Most jerseys feature a front zipper, and we’ve opted to equip all our jerseys with a full-length zipper for maximum versatility. This allows you to open your jersey completely, just like a jacket, giving you the flexibility to change layers easily, adjust your baselayer, or simply open it up fully to cool down on a climb.

We use tough and durable YKK zippers, sparing no expense to ensure that your zipper glides smoothly and never gets stuck, providing reliable performance ride after ride.

And a special shout out!

A special jersey we want to highlight here is our Transition jersey. This jersey is specifically designed for those days when it is too cold for a short sleeve jersey, but too warm for a jacket. This unisex jersey is made out of special DiamondSoft material which is warm and comfortable while still able to breath and evaporate your sweat. Our Transition jersey contains three back pockets and one pocket with a zipper for your valuable belongings. The tight fit makes it very comfortable to wear. Furthermore, this jersey is equipped with all the goods that you have read above. High-end, and ready for those fresh mornings!
