Buyer's guide | Scarves and headwear
All about our scarves and headwear
Obviously, we advise everybody to always wear a helmet when riding your bike. But have you ever thought about wearing something underneath your helmet or around your neck? Headwear can help you to keep your head (and therefore your whole body) warm or cool, depending on what type of headwear you choose. It can protect your head against the bright sun, icy winds and heavy rains. We have an extended range of headwear that can help you through all different weather conditions, all the way up to the extremes. This buyer's guide will give you a hand in choosing the right product for your needs. We will explain a bit more about our scarves and headwear collection and go through some of the great features our products have to offer.
Prepare yourself for whatever is coming
Scarves and headwear make it possible for you to keep riding your bike, even though the weather is turning bad. Neck protection, balaclavas, hats and caps, are all there to keep you warm or cool you down depending on the weather conditions.
Neck and head protection to keep you warm
When designing our neck and headwear, we consider all the possible weather conditions a cyclist might encounter. For example, we use advanced thermal materials in our hats and neck protection. These materials provide excellent insulation without adding bulk.
Our FAR InfraRed technology also plays a key role: ceramic microparticles woven into the fabric reflect body heat. This allows the fabric to insulate not only by trapping air but also by reflecting infrared light emitted from the body. Across our entire apparel line, we incorporate a variety of fabrics and materials. To learn more, visit our clothing materials page.
Light and ventilating materials
On a hot summer day, you won’t see many cyclists wearing headwear, except for a few stylish cycling caps and hats. But these aren’t just for show; they serve a real purpose. Like a bandana or a ventilated summer hat, a cycling cap helps to protect your head from the sun while keeping it cool and ventilated. It keeps sweat out of your eyes and promotes faster evaporation, making for a more comfortable ride. When designing our summer headwear, we focus on lightweight, breathable materials, including light and open mesh fabrics, to ensure effective sweat evaporation.
