Frames

We have three types of frames for our glasses, all with their own pro's and cons. the choice of frame is personal and you should choose whatever you prefer yourself. Below you will find the three different types. All our cycling glasses are designed and tested by our own development team.

Frameless

Frameless glasses have temples attached to the big one-piece lens. This provides a maximum view in all angles and a featherlight glasses. This way you will have the benefits of a glasses without the feeling of wearing a pair of glasses.

Half Frame

Glasses with a half frame have their one-piece lens attached on the top side of the frame. This way the glasses are still lightweight but will have a slightly sturdier feeling. Changing the lens is still easy and quick, and the one-piece lens provides a wide view.

Full Frame

Full frame glasses completely surround the lenses. This gives you a nice an snug feeling. Besides, this type of frame makes the glasses stronger. Slightly heavier than the other types, which is why this type of frame is often used for casual glasses.

Type of lenses

With most of our glasses, three different types of lenses are included. All of these lenses are made out of polycarbonate. Polycarbonate lenses are practically unbreakable and very tough against collisions due to crashes.

The standard lens in our glasses is a smoke (or MLC) lens. The two extra lenses are a yellow and a clear lens. With these, you have a clear view in all different kinds of weather. Read more about these three types below.

How to change the lens of your glasses?

Smoke lens

Smoke lenses decrease the blinding effect of the sun. This type of lens can best be used in bright light conditions to protect your eyes against the sun. Smoke lenses are specifically designed to conserve the true colors of the world while still providing you with a nice dimmed effect of the sunlight. Sometimes a smoke lens comes with a MLC coating. This Multi Layered Coating provides a nice color and high contrast.

Yellow lens

The yellow lens is specifically design for low-light situations. The yellow hue alters light and contrast to improve vision, even in foggy conditions. The 87% light transmision allows as much light as possible to enter the lens. Yellow lenses prevent blue light with a short wave length to enter the lens, which increases your focus on certain objects. Besides, it will alter depth of field and contrast for the best possible vision.

Clear lens

A clear lens is perfect for low-light conditions when you want to keep true color perception. With a light transmission of 80% - 92%. You obviously don't use your glasses to protect your eyes against the sun at night, but rather to prevent insects, dust and dirt from getting in your eyes. Because even when the sun is gone, you have to protect your eyes!

Photochromic lenses

Photochromic (PH) lenses change their tint based on the light conditions. They darken in bright light and lighten up in darker environments within seconds, allowing for clear vision and reducing eye strain. These lenses adjust to changing light conditions, such as when entering a tunnel, changing direction, or riding through a forest. We offer PH lenses for almost all our glasses models in addition to our standard MLC, smoke, transparent, and yellow lenses, providing cyclists with an all-encompassing lens. PH lenses are the ultimate solution for every condition.

Quality of our cycling glasses

All our glasses are made with the highest quality materials and latest cutting-edge techniques. We strive for high quality for a fair price and we are always looking for development and improvement. Our product developers design our glasses in our headquarters in the Netherlands.

Hydrophobic coating

Some of our lenses are made with a special hydrophobic coating. This coating prevents the lens from fogging up and makes sure droplets dirt and dust will easily slight off. This way, your ride will be safer as your vision will never be constrained.

Grilamid frames

Almost all our frames are made of high-end Grilamid TR90 material. This is a lightweight and flexible material for toughness and high comfort. Grilamid is practically unbreakable and can resist high temperatures, bending and collision impact. The frame can be bent to change lenses without being scared of breaking your frame.

Rilsan®

Rilsan® Clear Rnew® G850 is a high-performance, bio-based polyamide material from Arkema. The G850 material contains 45% bio-based carbon made of Castor beans. These beans are extracted from plants and converted into oil which forms the basis for bio-based Polyamide. It is specially designed for injection moulding applications and ideally suited for frames of high-end eyewear. This makes the material of these glasses not only more durable but also lightweight, flexible and virtually unbreakable.

Bended lenses

If you have ever had cheap cycling glasses, you may have noticed the warp in your vision, especially on the outer sides of the lens. this distortion is caused by non-bended lenses. Our lenses follow the same bend as the eye to prevent distortion of your vision and give you a true view of the world around you. Our lenses are optically corrected to make sure you have the best possible view.
